The Power of the Female Sex

Women can do anything including run a business on Wall Street and raise a family and, most importanly, wear heels! I have no idea what I could do if instead of Meg, I was Max. I guess I would have to resort to being a tranny. What I love about shoes is they can be so aburd or so classic or so casual or so posh.

Like always here are some high fashion shoes compared with some low cost ones to fit anyone’s budget. Personally, when it comes to shoes, I seem to forget my budget…

These Alejandro Ingelmo found at Intermix are one of the most amazing booties I have ever seen. I love the peep toe and the shin that the leather has.

These Christian Louboutins (Goya Booties) are so cool especally because of the small platform and the suede.

The Christian Louboutin (Simple Pump) can be desribed in one word: perfection.

These Miu Miu Sequined Heels are crazy and would look amazing with a LBD

These Steve Madden shoes are inexpensive but still look high-priced and well-made.

These other Steve Madden pumps are so classy and what I love about them is their versatility.

Although these heels aren't very versatile, they still are worth every penny. They would look great at any black tie event and the petal pink is to die for.

Boy, Interupted

 

When I think about the word ‘men’ other words like dirty, irresponsible, and lazy come to mind. I would have never guessed that this species would actually inspire a fashion trend that has been lasting for a few seasons now. And we all now that fall will not be the end to this style. Whenever I think of women dressing in men’s attire I think of Katharine Hepburn or Coco Chanel.

 

These women have two things in common: an influence on fashion and their love for blazers.

I have found two blazers that I have fallen in love with. The first one being a bit out of my price range. It is Mary-Kate and Ashley’s line Elizabeth and James at Intermix.

The other blazer is from Urban Outfitters and a great alternitive balzer if you aren’t willing to spend that much.

I love the color of this one and I also love the rolled cuffs. Another fashion inspired by the men is the wingtip loafers. I also found two of these: one pair from United Colors of Benetton and one from Forever 21.

And of course I can’t not mention the notorious ‘boyfriend sweater.’ My favorite is the one from American Apparel that is unisex.

 

So, when we all think that men have contributed nothing to this world, just think about your cute new blazer hanging up in your closet!

Running With Scissors

The best trend that is rolling from summer to fall is definitely cutouts. In particular cutout booties. 

My favorites are from Saks and Shop bop but both are rather expensive stores so the last one is from Forever 21, which is very inexpensive.

These Versace Cutouts are so trendy and still timeless. I absolutely love them!

These ones are Claudia Ciuti and they kind of resemble the Versace ones above. I like this color better though because it is more unexpected.

These Forever 21 shoes are a knockoff of a pair designed by Chloé. It’s totally fashion-forward although a bit on the dishonest and shifty side.

And not only are shoes the only things that are being but here and there. Clothing has also come to love the scissor trend, like this Ella Moss red blouse and this new designer, featured on Saks, Brian Reyes’ dress.
